5Location Data & GPS

Location data is a core feature of PinPoint Snap. By using our Service, you expressly consent to the collection and processing of your location data as follows:

  • Photo GPS Extraction: We automatically extract GPS coordinates from the EXIF metadata of photos you upload. If a photo lacks GPS data, we may capture the device's location at the time of upload.
  • Real-Time Capture: When using our mobile app, we may access your device's real-time location to tag photos with precise coordinates at the moment of capture.
  • Map Display: Your location data is displayed on interactive maps, route histories, and heatmaps within your account dashboard.
  • Accuracy: GPS accuracy depends on your device hardware, satellite visibility, and environmental conditions. We do not guarantee pinpoint accuracy.

You can disable location services on your device, but this may prevent you from using core features of the Service. If you are an agent invited by a company, your employer may require location verification as a condition of work assignment.

6Photo & Session Data

Photos uploaded to PinPoint Snap are stored securely in cloud storage. Key points regarding photo data:

  • You retain ownership of all photos you upload. We only store and process them to provide the Service.
  • Photos are associated with your account and, where applicable, your team or organization workspace.
  • We may generate thumbnails, previews, and map markers from your photos for display purposes.
  • Photos are stored with encryption in transit and at rest.
  • We do not use your photos for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose outside of providing the Service to you.
  • Deleted photos are removed from active storage within a reasonable timeframe, though backup copies may persist for a limited period for disaster recovery.

7How We Share Information

We do not sell your Personal Data. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Team Members: If you are part of an organization account, account owners and administrators may have access to your photos, sessions, and location data as part of team management.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PinPoint Snap, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control.
